Lawson frees Ava from the vampires when he is rescuing his pack members. He finds out she has weapons she can use against the vampires and his pack, which she demonstrates during the breakout. Lawson wants those weapons. Also, as soon as he sees her, he knows she is his mate and sets out to seduce her into submission in terrible ways. Initially, to me, Lawson was not likeable but he grew on me. By the end of the book, I liked him although he was still much too dominant. Dahlia Lynde and Duncan Cole did a great job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review
