I am a Maduro fan and was excited to try this one, but just didn’t do it for me. The draw was a little tight but did not require any touch ups. The first third was nice with a bit of sweetness and flavors you would expect from a Maduro. Going into the second third was where it lost me. Turned very peppery with some black licorice and coffee. It remained the same through the final. Overall the cigar had good construction and burn. Maybe more time in the humidor will add some improvement. Looking forward to trying the Sumatra.
