AMT Clear UV Sealer is a professional-grade, two-component polyurethane system designed to provide a high-performance, UV-stable finish for aquatic environments. When used in conjunction with 150g of AMT Glass Beads, this kit provides a specialized anti-slip solution for pool steps and floors without compromising the aesthetic of the underlying Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy coating. The system is engineered as a protective topcoat for both new and existing epoxy surfaces. It offers excellent resistance to UV degradation and maintains a uniform consistency when mixed at the required 4:1 ratio. This kit ensures a protective barrier that guards against the elements while providing necessary traction for wet surfaces. Application Instructions How to apply the AMT Clear UV Sealer on a pool: Preparation Applicable on pools that have previously been painted with Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy. For new Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy applications, see “Application” below. Drain pool and dry. Sweep and remove dust. Use Ramuc Clean and Prep in a garden sprayer, spray onto pool surface whilst another person agitates the surface with hard bristle broom / brush. Use wet sandpaper (180-grit) to lightly sand the surface. Do not over-sand, as this may remove Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy. Wash off cleaner and residue with hosepipe (rinse thoroughly). Allow to dry and perform water break-free test. Repeat steps 3 to 5 as necessary. Let the pool dry at least 1 day. Next day, sweep out any dust and wipe surface with Carboline Thinner AB. Application Applicable on new Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy coatings and pools previously painted with Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy. Important: On new Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy applications – Cure time between second coat of Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy and first coat of AMT Clear UV Sealer will be per Ramuc Hi Build Epoxy’s Technical Datasheet: 16-72 hours @ 25C. If coat is applied beyond 72 hours, preparation to be repeated as per above section. Mix AMT Clear UV Sealer with mechanical mixer in a 4:1 ratio to achieve a uniform consistency. Apply first coat from deep end to shallow end at 8m²/litre with a nap roller after saturating/dipping roller. Keep roller saturated. Do not let droplet or running lines form – it will cure and leave bumps. Cut corners and edges with a brush before rolling sided. Let first coat dry for 12 hours. Repeat application steps 1 to 6 for second coat. Allow to cure for 5 to 7 days at 25°C before filling the pool.
