In 1974,Quai d'Orsay was founded for the French market.The brand is named after the avenue in Paris by the Seine that once housed the headquarters of SEITA,the French government-owned tobacco importer at the time. SEITA and Cubatabaco (now Habanos s.a.) collaborated to create a sophisticated Cuban brand with a distinct flair. The Quai d'Orsay No. 52 was unveiled in 2022 at a spectacular evening in one of Paris' most iconic locations. The chosen structure ignored well-known French landmarks like the National Assembly,the Eiffel Tower,and,of course,the well-known Quai d'Orsay Avenue. The No. 52 was called after the vitola's ring gauge,which is printed on the band that adorns each cigar,just like its two siblings. This exquisite,well-balanced,and utterly modern Habanos is categorised as light-bodied. Before the toasted Finish,the woody initial puffs give way to sweeter,chewier notes of nougat,dried fig and raisin,along with a hint of chocolate ganache. Charming and sophisticated.
