Title: A “Mini” Davidoff That Smokes Like a Full Robusto Review: This was my very first Davidoff, and I honestly wasn’t prepared for how impressive it would be. I’ve tried plenty of short-format cigars before, but this is on another level, I mean the amazing Long Filler Fully hand selected, long-cut tobaccos from Nicaragua (Estelí, Condega, Jalapa) real binder, gorgeous wrapper, proper cap, proper band, and even cellophane. The construction is flawless, and the burn line was razor sharp the entire way without a single touch up. For something this size, the smoke output is incredible not a chimney at rest, but take a puff and you get the same volume and density as a full-sized cigar. The flavor profile surprised me too: creamy cedar, a little zest, a touch of spice, and a silky smoothness all the way down to the tiniest nub (yes, I smoked it with tweezers). I paired mine with Virgil’s Root Beer, my go to since I no longer drink alcohol. It’s naturally bold, creamy, and not too sweet, with a bit of spice, and it complements the cedar and spice in the Primeros perfectly without overpowering them. Between the pairing, my JetLine lighter, and the beautiful Colibri S cutter my fiancée helped me get from Cigar’s Daily, the whole experience felt like a perfectly crafted moment. I can see why Davidoff is proud of their 207 inspection steps, the attention to detail is obvious in every draw. This little cigar feels like a “honey I shrunk the kids” version of a full Davidoff Nicaragua experience, and it’s dangerously good. Now I’m even more excited to try the Robusto En Tubo that’s resting in my humidor. Tim, if you see this, please get the Nicaragua Robusto En Tubos. Final Thoughts: If you want a quick smoke that still delivers a true premium experience, this is it. I’m blown away.
