Cohiba Royale Robusto (5.5×54)

This cigar has a nicely constructed dark brown wrapper with a pretty plain Jane band. The price of $25 has me expecting a heightened cigar experience. The “Cut and a light” kicked off with a few different flavors, there’s milk chocolate, roasted coffee, leather, sweet cashew, and a butter cream. It has a pretty smooth oily retro hale that adds some light pepper. Into the second third the flavor profile is holding up and seems pretty consistent. The burn is a little wavy but hasn’t needed any touch ups yet and the ash is holding on very well. There’s also some light back ground spice now. In the final third the chocolate has faded and coffee with some white pepper has ramped up, the strength has increased and the body is a high medium to low full. My smoke time was one hour and forty five minutes. Over all it’s a smooth cigar with plenty of flavor going on. The price isn’t really a problem when you consider that my B&M charges nearly $20 for a Oliva servie V Mel. And almost $30 for this Cohiba. I would score this around a 92.
