Today, I smoking the filthy Viking toro, and here’s the run down. After the cut and a light, there is some spices on the retrohale, maybe white pepper, almond, and a soft creamy texture. It’s a light body stick. At the end of the first third, I actually agree that there is a buttery nuttiness. It has a nice sweetness in the smoke. I don’t usually go in for these type of cigars but I will say that this one is pretty good. The retro hale does clam down with the pepper, it has become a lot smoother. It has a cool looking band. I want to say there’s a smidge of leather, but it seems to be very light. Wavy burn line that isn’t needing any attention right now. This is an easy cigar, great for someone new to cigars. It’s pretty consistent. Just smooth, buttery sweet almond, with a light white pepper retro. It’s not really a long finish but I would say medium finish. Medium body, low strength. The leaf did try to unravel itself in the middle a little. It seems very slightly oily, maybe it’s just that sweet creamy buttery texture on the palate. At the start of the final third I did start picking up on an earthy cedar. The retro hale is a bit strong but it’s not peppery anymore. Overall, it was enjoyable, light, it was pretty consistent throughout, definitely flavorful. It did lose some points for construction. I’m going to say that I’d score it around 85 points.
