Incredible budget cigar, better than some non – Cuban sandwich cigars that I’ve had. Completely consistent down to the thumb, burned very cool and surprisingly even (albeit not perfect) didn’t have to touch it up, purge it, or relight it to any degree that became inconvenient. Most curious aspect of this cigar is the fact that it’s Dominican yet smoked so differently than many of the other Dominican Claro’s I’ve smoked. There is a certain profile that I was expecting, along the lines of a Fuente Curley head natural, Casa de Garcia, or even a Macanudo Gold. Very distinct terroir that I often describe as sweet earth, very wet flavor profile, black tea, honey, white grape, cafe latte sweetness, must. With a mostly dry flavor profile, very woody with a crisp oak profile balanced against a very nuanced sweetness ala Davidoff of all things: This cigar had a unique complexity to it considering the cost and expectation. A brilliant blend indeed.
